Falling 201
Falling sucks.
After the fall can be even worse.
After falling, there’s waiting:
wait (wāt)
to remain in rest or expectation
The waiting period after a fall sucks just as much, if not more, than the falling itself.
Of course you’re not just sitting around doing nothing, you’re actively trying to pick yourself up after falling. You might be trying to heal or let go or plough through. Whatever you’re doing, though, ultimately, you’re waiting.
Just like falling, recognizing that you’re waiting can help.
Yes, I’m waiting. Yes, it feels bad. Yes, it has a shape that other people experience too.
And just like there’s life after falling, there’s life after waiting too. You might not know what you’re waiting for, but usually it’s pretty good stuff. Because the falling and the waiting allow things to be rearranged, shaped anew.
